Dear Megan,
I have very long eyelashes that take a long time to set. I also use undereye concealer to help with dark circles. This tends to crease by the end of the day. Not a good look with smudged makeup! Eyelashes are blonde and invisible without mascara. I use good moisturizer/products. Thanks for the tips!
Hi love!
Running, smudging eye makeup can be pretty burdensome. Nobody wants raccoon eyes!
This used to be an issue that I experienced frequently throughout high school and even part of college, before I stumbled upon a few magical products. They are:
Lancome XL Cils – Lancome XL Cils is just about the best lash primer I’ve used.. ever. If anyone says they loves Dior’s lash primer, they’re lying. It’s a goopy tube of gunk, that I refused to even write a review about after trying. Lacome’s XL Cils, however, applies like a great mascara, keeping lashes separate while building volume, and holds on to your lashes and the mascara you apply afterwards, like glue – in the best way possible!
Too Faced Shadow Insurance – Even if you’re just going to wear eyeliner, put some shadow insurance on your lids/the area where you’ll line. This eyeshadow primer will last through a 12+ hour night at the bars/clubs, including all the sweat and eye wiping. It’s insane. I pair it with Stila’s Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner and it’s a match made in perfect cat-eye heaven.
As for the underye concealer creasing, I have less experience with that, but you may want to try the shadow insurance there, too. It keeps eyeshadow from creasing; why not under eye concealer, too?
By the way, if you would like a suggestion on the best mascara, I would highly recommend Too Faced’s Better Than Sex Mascara (review here), or even sign-up to be the first to know when we launch our very own mascara next year!
For healthy, long and full-looking lashes every day, be sure to treat your lashes like the angels they are; that means use a lash enhancer (like WINK), curl gently (instructions here), apply makeup delicately and remove it even more delicately. Lashes are a girl’s best friend + should be treated as such!
Good luck honey!
xoxo,
Megan
